the Omohundro Institute of Early American History and Culture
The
Omohundro Institute of Early American History and Culture
(OIEAHC), sponsored jointly by the College of William and
Mary and The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, was established
in 1943 to further "study, research, and publications
bearing upon American History approximately to the year 1815."
In carrying out its purposes, the Institute publishes the
William and Mary Quarterly, books in its field of interest,
and the newsletter Uncommon Sense.
