Elizabeth C. Winroth Maps Acquisitions Fund Established
In honor of its longtime maps librarian, the Oregon Historical Society has created the Elizabeth C. Winroth Maps Acquistion Fund. For nearly twenty-seven years, Liz Winroth strove to build and enhance the Society's exceptional maps collections, preserving for future generations an invaluable record of our region's history. Contributions may be sent to the Oregon Historical Society, attn. Development Department, 1200 S.W. Park Ave., Portland, OR 97205. Please write "Elizabeth C. PNW Historians Guild Call for Presentations

The nineteenth annual conference of the Pacific Northwest Historians Guild will be held March 6, 2004, in Seattle, Washington, focusing on the theme of life in the Pacific Northwest since World War II. Presentations that include handouts for classroom teachers are particularly appreciated. Proposals, including a title and a one-paragraph description, should be submitted by October 15, 2003, to PNW Historians Guild, P.O. Oral History Association Call for Papers

| The Oral History Association invites proposals for papers and presentations for its 2004 annual meeting, to be held September 29–October 3, 2004, at the Hilton & Executive Tower, Portland, Oregon. The conference theme is "Telling Stores: Narratives of Our Own Times."
