| Emily S. Rosenberg's fascinating study of how Americans have remembered the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor examines a topic resonant since September 11, 2001, another "date which will live in infamy." Based on secondary sources, primary and secondary Web sources, popular magazines, newspapers, and films, Rosenberg's book is divided into two chronological sections. The first half looks at "Pearl Harbor in American memory" from the time of the attack through the Cold War, while the latter half examines it since the fiftieth anniversary of the attack. |
