In his second book, Rick L. Nutt recovers for us the indefatigable missionary Sherwood Eddy (1871-1963). During his prime, Eddy was one of the giant movers and shakers in American Protestantism, but he has been largely forgotten amid the more original minds of his day. By exploring key missions-related issues through Eddy's life, Nutt uses Eddy as an effective window into a dynamic, world view-challenging era in American Protestant history. . . .
