The page presentation framework of the Booker T. Washington papers is designed to provide researchers worldwide with searchable access to the thousands of pages comprising the fourteen volumes, most of which are out of print. Adapted from the National Academy Press's Open Book framework, this framework allows searching down to the page level, provides sorting of search results chronologically, enables easy navigation across multiple volumes, and allows page-by-page local printing (via PDF) of every page.

The BOOKER T. WASHINGTON Papers We think it cannot be too emphatically stated that not one cent of this money will go to help the Hampton Normal and Agricultura1 Institute nor to the Tuskegee Normal and Industrial Institute, and in no way relieve the pressing needs of these institutions, but every cent will go toward helping the rural schools, according to Miss Jeanes' wish and directions. BOOKER T. WASHINGTON HOLLIS BURKE FRISSELL Tuskegee Student, 19 (May 4, 1907), i. Reprinted from the Philadelphia [Record. Helen Van Wyck Lockmani to Julius Robert Cox tNew York City] May Seventh t~907] Dear Sir The Huntington place adv. on Sunday is charmingly located by the Harbor side with no road or nuisance of any kind between. It is a double old fashioned house with parlor, large living room, large dining room with three windows on the water and eight bedrooms. An extra could be provided for a man in one of the outbuildings. There is a private lane leading down a hillside to the house. Perhaps three acres of land are enclosed with it. I own six hundred feet of the water front. There are four stalls in the barn. I have an other barn on my land should extra stalls be required. The modern improvements are being put in now. Possession June fist. Rent for four months or longer $~ooo.oo.2 Should you wish to see it please . notl :y me. (Mrs) M. A. Lockman ALS Con. 7 BTW Papers DLC. 1 Helen Van Wyck (Mrs. Myron A.)
