The page presentation framework of the Booker T. Washington papers is designed to provide researchers worldwide with searchable access to the thousands of pages comprising the fourteen volumes, most of which are out of print. Adapted from the National Academy Press's Open Book framework, this framework allows searching down to the page level, provides sorting of search results chronologically, enables easy navigation across multiple volumes, and allows page-by-page local printing (via PDF) of every page.

N OVEM BER . 1 9 o5 send the matter to Mr Alexander this week. You can hold the membership list until the last and then send it direct to him. I have not yet received the Treasurer's report. Max Barber spoke last night to about 30 people on the Sovereigr~ty of Ideals. He must have felt some what disappointed because when it came to discussing his paper nearly everybody insisted that Industrial Education was the primal necessity. Truly yours S Laing Williams ALS Con. BTW Papers DLC. From Abram L. Grant Kansas City, Kans. Nov. i, ~ gob My dear Friend: I have just reached Kansas City from Indianapolis and I write to say that it is believed there that the ''Freeman'' can be purchased for from Coon to kazoo. I discussed the matter pretty thoroughly with Dr. Furniss and we have decided that if we can get four men to place $z to or Moo each, as the case may be, that we would purchase it provided we can get Prof. H. T. Kealing to edit it. Dr. Furniss as well as myself, feels as if he would like to be a silent partner and I thought that you might desire to be a member, as we discussed the matter some time 1909 I think that Prof. Kealing would join the number and that would make Dr. Furniss, Prof. Kealing, you, and myself. Kindly inform me at an early date what you think of it. Faithfully, A. Grant TLS Core. 3 BTW Papers DLC. ~ BTW's reply, if any, was not found in the BTW Papers, and there is no evidence that he owned stock in the Indianapolis Freeman, either directly or indirectly. 435
