The page presentation framework of the Booker T. Washington papers is designed to provide researchers worldwide with searchable access to the thousands of pages comprising the fourteen volumes, most of which are out of print. Adapted from the National Academy Press's Open Book framework, this framework allows searching down to the page level, provides sorting of search results chronologically, enables easy navigation across multiple volumes, and allows page-by-page local printing (via PDF) of every page.

God bless you dear friend. My heart goes out in gratitude to you for your loyalty. I have lost the collectorship but I have gained whets far better your loyal support on · — prlnclp e. Washington says biography is his favorite reading and Abraham Lincoln is his patron saint. He claims to have read every book written about Lincoln. Perhaps this is one reason why his own autobiography, just published by Doubleday, Page & Co., is so full of anecdotes and stories, and withal one of the most interesting, helpful and solid of American biographical writings. In his single-hearted devotion to a righteous cause he is not unlike the great President. PD Con. 9 BTW Papers DLC. Page proof for an advertisement. 365
