The page presentation framework of the Booker T. Washington papers is designed to provide researchers worldwide with searchable access to the thousands of pages comprising the fourteen volumes, most of which are out of print. Adapted from the National Academy Press's Open Book framework, this framework allows searching down to the page level, provides sorting of search results chronologically, enables easy navigation across multiple volumes, and allows page-by-page local printing (via PDF) of every page.

The BOOKER T. WASHINGTON Papers to Tuskegee for 3 months and help us improve along the lines named. The Slater Fund people bear the expense. Dr. CurrY and I have talked the subject over very frankly. I very much wish that you could go to Tuskegee oftener. You could help us greatly in many matters by an annual visit. The name of the man in Exeter, N.H. is Mr. Isaac Shute. Richard Potts of Notasulga Ala. is a good honest hard working fellow but he has little education, but is doing good. ~ think Simmons will do well. He has some opposition from the teacher whom he is trying to succeed. I told him when he got his local fight settled I should help him all I could. Are you to be in N.Y. soon? We need money badly. You may be able to give me some suggestions. I shall be here for lo days or more. Can you send me any names? Hope matters at Hampton are going well. Yours Sincerely Booker T.
