WAS HINGTON Papers To Warren Logan ''Boston] May 2 1889 Dear Mr. Logan: Mrs. Washington ~ am glad to say seems to me stronger than when I last wrote and her condition seems a little more encouraging. Unless there is some great change in her condition I do not think you can count on my being at the school except for one or two days before and after Commencement. So you see that I shall have to depend on you for all the arrangements. Let Mr. Wright' examine your system of book keeping. Please see as soon as you can all the teachers and let me know who of them wish to return another year. These I know about. Mr. Wilson, Miss Williamson,2 Miss Mason, Miss Dorsette, Mr. Whittaker and I have written to Miss Hawley. Love to all. Yours truly B. T. Edward Wright was a Unitarian minister in charge of the Church of the Messiah at Montpelier, Vt., and a lifetime member of the American Unitarian Association. His account of his inspection of Tuskegee on behalf of the Unitarians was published in the official Unitarian organ, The Christian Register, 68 (July 4, 1889), 43° 2 Mahala J. Williamson was in charge of the laundry at Tuskegee Institute from 888 to ~ 89 ~ and was principal of the night school and librarian during the 189~- school year.
