I have just returned from Montgomery and will say they have give up the idea of getting the State University. It is pretty well understood there, that they will not get it. So I think you will be alright. Peterson,2 and impressed him with one thought if no more. He says he thinks the two schools being state schools would be too close together, should Marion school be established at Montgomery says he had never thought of the nearness of the schools before. But he has, or will not come to any conclusion until he meets the committee, and everything concerning the school is brought out. He hopes to meet you there says he thinker you should be there, to reason with the committee. 365
