She resigned from the Tuskegee faculty in 1890, returning to teach in Virginia, but taught again at Tuskegee from 1897 to 1899. 3 Addie J. Wallace was born in Milledgeville, Gal, in 1862 and graduated from Hampton in ~ 88~. She taught at Tuskegee for the three years ~ 883-86. She resigned to marry William C. Brown, settling in Macon, Ga. ~ ~ , _ ~ ~ To [Samuel Chapman Armstrong] Tuskegee, Ala., Oct ~ I, ~ 883 Dear Gen'l: Yours of the 8 inst in regard to the series of meetings North is rec'd. We are heartily thankful for the opportunity and I shall be ready to comply with the request. The arrangement for Dec. 4 will suit me. Shall go to Montgomery tomorrow night to see Mr. Armstrong.2 Shall do my best to get him to attend. Will write again after I have seen him. The Alabama legislature does not assemble this year.
