The page presentation framework of the Booker T. Washington papers is designed to provide researchers worldwide with searchable access to the thousands of pages comprising the fourteen volumes, most of which are out of print. Adapted from the National Academy Press's Open Book framework, this framework allows searching down to the page level, provides sorting of search results chronologically, enables easy navigation across multiple volumes, and allows page-by-page local printing (via PDF) of every page.

The BOOKER T. WASHINGTON Papers certainly furnish the newspapers with a basis for some rather sensational reports. ~ think the Governor would be much more inclined to accept an invitation to meet and speak to a few selected people without the luncheon than he would to attend any affair of that character. Of course, as ~ wrote you before, ~ think the chances are about even as to our succeeding or failing. If Mr. Crane would be inclined to take the matter up with him directly, ~ think it would be much better than my seeing Mr. Wilson. At any rate, ~ shad wait to hear from you before attempting to see him or to go further in the matter. ~ know Mr. Wilson personally. He Is interested in our work, but just what he wiD be inclined to do just now, ~ am not sure. Of course, it may be possible to have the luncheon without my presence, and in that case, ~ should be just as well satisfied. Yours very truly, Booker T. Washington TLpS Con. 56 BTW Papers DLC.
