FEBRUARY · I 9 I 3 In one of our counties, TalIapoosa, under the Jeanes Fund we already have a colored Supervisor who Is doing excellent work, and it is very Interesting to see how closely he keeps In touch with the County Superintendent and how beautifully the County Superintendent cooperates with him. There are at least two other counties In Alabama that are ready for this movement, and ~ am wondering if the money could not be provided from the Peabody Fund for this purpose. After teaching at Peabody College, the University of Nashville, and the University of Tennessee, he became general agent of the Peabody Education Fund (~go7-~s), secretary of the Rockefeller Sanitary Commission (~g~o-~s), trustee of the John F. Slater Fund (~909-23), and executive secretary of the Southern Education Board (~909-~3~. After I9I3 he was a member of the Rockefeller Foundation, the General Education Board, the International Health Board, and the International Education Board, all Rockefeller agencies. Feb. 2, ~3 Dear sir: ~ am arranging to open here In Tuskegee, a first class motsion picture theatre wiD be ready to open about Wensday Feb. 5. and ~ would like to know if I can get the use of your audatorium for two nights out of each week to show three first class reals of motsion pictures in your place for the pleasure of your student chargeing 5¢ and Of admission now ~ will give a percentage of my receits to the Instute or as to what ever you see fit to use it for ~ am resurveing the back part of my theatre here in town for the colored people but knowing that your rules does not permit your student to come away from the campus ~ would like to have the pemrssion to bring my machiene out there two night of each week showing ~ reals of good pictures and changing every night that ~ give a show. ~ would like to have Monday and Wensday nights if that will not enterfear with any of your social or meetings nights please let me hear from you at once thanking in advance ~ remain Resp. yours Billy Boyd
