The page presentation framework of the Booker T. Washington papers is designed to provide researchers worldwide with searchable access to the thousands of pages comprising the fourteen volumes, most of which are out of print. Adapted from the National Academy Press's Open Book framework, this framework allows searching down to the page level, provides sorting of search results chronologically, enables easy navigation across multiple volumes, and allows page-by-page local printing (via PDF) of every page.

The BOOKER T. WASHINGTON Papers MEN AND WHAT I LEARNED FROM THEM, because that has been almost entirely rewritten. After reflection, I came to the conclusion that your suggestions for completing that chapter were better than my own and I have, therefore, not waited for the material you were to furnish in order to complete that chapter. I am sending you the duplicate copy of My Experience with Reporters and Newspapers. The original, as you know, is in the hands of Mr. Hartley Davist at ~6 Waverly Place, New York. I am now trying to get together material for the Chapter X: MEETING HIGH AND LOW IN EUROPE. I should be very glad to get from you some dictation of the material which you would like to put in this chapter, also I should like to get, as soon as possible, material for Chapter XI: WHAT I LEARNED ABOUT EDUCATION IN DENMARK. I am sending you two copies of the Table of Contents of the book, Chapters from My Experience. One of these indicates, in red type, the condition in which each of these chapters will now be found. I am, Yours very truly, Robert E. Park TLS Con. ~4 BTW Papers DLC. t Hartley Cortlandt Davis (~866-~938), a newspaper and magazine editor who later was publisher of the Great Neck News. 622
